Genova hosts one of the most active commercial docks in Europe, but its alleys are now populated by the largest south american community in Italy and maybe Europe, but also by asians, arabs, africans, taking the place that was once occupied by families of fishermen.
Walking through those alleys can be a frustrating, an exciting, or even a dangerous experience.
But those old buildings seem to remind you why it used to be called “La Superba”, long time ago…

some of the shots from this roll are my favourites amongst the portuguese series…
unfortunately, I had the great idea of fucking up the development, first using an expired Ilfosol 3 that produced very transparent (i.e. underdeveloped) negatives, secondly by accidentally scratching and damaging the film in a very thoroughly way….
sounds like a Robert Capa kind of trouble, if it weren’t for the fact I am not as good as the Master was…
