Apricale is considered one of the most beautiful and well kept Middle Age villages in Italy. It is also famous for being the starting point for “la strada dell’olio”, with its top quality olive oil derived from olive Taggiasche, a quality of olives typical of the Ligurian region.

Finding yourself under full daylight armed with an Ilford Delta 400 makes you really feel with the right weapon in the wrong place… The grain of the film is not the thing you want to see when taking shots on a sunny beach; indeed, you’re really missing some more rolls of chrome slides that went off in the streets of the beautiful towns of Noli and Varigotti the day before.
Note: some of these pictures where taken after a good surf session in nearby Finale Ligure, so I was stoked enough to shoot some “all time classic” pictures such as the surfer getting in the water and also some ordinary family life on the beach on a sunday morning…
